Philip Chiaramonte
HEAD OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Mr. Chiaramonte joined SCM in February 2016 as General Counsel and Head of New Product Development.  Mr. Chiaramonte holds similar titles at SFM and is a member of SFM.  Prior to joining SCM, Mr. Chiaramonte spent over 20 years in the structured credit markets and prior to that worked as an attorney in structured finance, derivatives and municipal finance.  Most recently, Mr. Chiaramonte founded and was Managing Partner of Clear Mountain Capital Management, an independent consulting firm providing structuring, trading, risk management and capital management services to institutions in the structured credit markets. Prior to that, he spent 4 years as a Managing Director at MJX Asset Management, an asset manager specializing is collateralized loan obligations, where he co-developed and implemented an analytics platform for CLO investors and advised financial institutions on CLO investment holdings.  Prior to MJX, Mr. Chiaramonte was Managing Director and Head of North American Credit Structuring at TD Securities USA, Inc., where he helped start and then managed their total return swap business.  Prior to TD, Mr. Chiaramonte worked for Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce specializing in the area of credit derivatives.  Prior to his career in structured credit, Mr. Chiaramonte spent 8 years as a practicing attorney in New York at Rogers & Wells and Hawkins, Delafield and Wood specializing in structured finance, derivatives and municipal finance.  Mr. Chiaramonte has a Juris Doctor from Fordham University and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Fordham University, College of Business Administration.
